Executive Summary

Scope

This document is primarily aimed at an audience of academics, EU policy-makers, experts in the fields of law, sociology, and technology, and interested citizens. It gives an overview on the topic of ‘mobility and identity’ and its related aspects (law, technology, sociology).

Within the context of work already undertaken by the FIDIS NoE, it is built upon the work of FIDIS deliverables “D2.1: Inventory of Topics and Clusters” and “D3.3: Study on Mobile Identity Management”, by extending and broadening their content towards a taxonomy of mobility and identity. Furthermore, this document is the foundation for the work of FIDIS Work Package 11: “Mobility and Identity”, defining its context and the initial terminology and concepts for the ongoing work of this Work Package and the common terminology of the FIDIS project.
